NORTH KATO IDEAS SERIES
The City of North Mankato is launching a series of engagement sessions as part of a community outreach initiative to create opportunities for the community to learn and participate in discussions on a variety of topics. The goal of this initiative is to increase responsiveness to citizen thoughts and ideas. Visit our blog to hear about previous engagement sessions and takeaways from the events.
On August 24th NMPD Detectives conducted two training sessions at the North Mankato Police Department Community Room for community members who were interested in learning more about burglary and fraud prevention. While the turnout was small, the interactions were very positive and the attendees will bring what they learned to friends and neighbors thereby extending our educational reach.
On October 12th and 17th community members gathered at Neutral Groundz coffee shop to discuss the 2018 budget and engaged in conversations around future spending priorities for the community.
Tuesday, November 28th and Wednesday, November 29th we will hold community engagement sessions
to discuss the community’s vision for Commerce Drive.
